Altered Pages and a little atc doublet

I have had a manic week but managed to get this little piece created with some of the gorgeous images from Altered Images  I used a few different techniques on this one.

I began by choosing three images from the  Celestial  Images collage printable
The two white card atc shapes were first stained with coffee and water and left to dry. I used washi tape to bind the two atc parts together.

I used text and steampunk background stamps and brown ink on top of the stain.
Once this dried I added watercolor patches on top of the stamped images for colour.
Once dried the images were fussy cut and collaged onto the background on both the back and the front (one image ) and the center three images.

After the images were stuck down well enough and dried. I added more color with the paint. some scribbled border with a black pen. and shading with the paints
Also I added some white dots front back and center using white gel pen

I then added some crackle accents and dried. Finally adding some metallic rub on in gold for high lights.

I hope you enjoyed this, I had a ball creating this one and am already on to my next project.

boy tags

The news I promised to share with you that has me very excited is the news that I am now on the team of designers at  Altered Pages.  I am absolutely thrilled to have this opportunity with such a fabtastic crafting company. Also it will be such a great focus for me and such incredible products to work withi

?
I decided to use some of the gorgeous images from the digital download section at Altered Pages. I used the cutest ever boys collage sheet ' 3116 Young man'.  I chose two really gorgeous images and they printed out beautifully.

Other products:vintage book text paper
distress inks
gorgeous
 twine
blue markersatin ribbon from my stash
Small acrylic
stamps from my stash
3d butterfly sticker

I created the tags, cute fish and netting background texture on my die cutting machine (Scan and cut ) using a good quality card.

After cutting the tag shapes I coloured them in distress inks using a sponge blender and then blended well I also added waves with a blue alcohol marker to the top tag. I coloured the fish shape the same way.

The second tag background was made using text paper mod podged  onto the tag and then when dried I distressed in the same way.

The images I fussy cut out as I am a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to cutting out images. I also cut out the stamped images and glued to the tags. I finished off with the twisted twine and pale ribbon from my stash.
