Dreamscape Card

I have to say i am very very enchanted by Lost Coast Stamps. So much so that i found  an outlet in the UK where i could order them and have done so.  introducing me to these beauties..... Thank you  I just want to thank Altered Pages for partnering another awesome company.:) I am a happy girl.

Now onto my project. I decided this time and unusually for me, to make a card. I wanted one that could be used for any occasion for male or female so here it is.

List of products used

Lost coast  buildings stamp
Cardstock - black and white
Corrugated card
Water colour paints
Black ink
Tissue paper
Glue to adhere tissue paper
Double sided tape
Foam mounts
Wink of stella pen
decoupage glue
White pen
heart stamp and reality stamp are old ones from my stash.

I began by soaking the white card in water spray then added various, pinks, oranges and red water colour paints with a brush and merging together for a background. I dried with heat gun and then stamped the Lost Coast stamp onto a white piece of tissue (i usually save it from gift wrapping and recycle )  with black ink.
I painted a coat of decoupage glue on the surface of the painted card stock then placed  the tissue carefully on to the surface and smoothed out. I left to dry then trimmed off the excess tissue. I added another layer of decoupage as a coating to the top and dried again.

I  mounted the stamped piece onto black card pre cut to fit. Added the sentiment and hearts with the black ink then added white dots with white pen. Its hard to see but i also added twinkle to the buildings with the Wink of Stella brush. I used foam mounts for mounting it onto coloured corrugated card then added to the front of a white card.  I hope you like it. I love the stamp and know i will use it often. Thanks for visiting and have a lovely week.

Todays journal page

Getting plenty of art done lately due to the fact that I am confined to the house. Its lovely to be able to play so much. Here is a journal page for today. Mixed media collage page. The hearts were free drawn and then filled with torn paper mosaic style, then cut out and glued onto journal. I also added Viva Rusty Patina, Pens, Acrylics, torn page from my colouring  book that I did a while back and some junk mail. Also I blended a lot with one of my fave mediums which is Inscribe Pastels.

Art Deco journal page

I was so excited that Altered Pages  are partnering Lost Coast designs this month. I was a bit upset as I have been in bed most of this last month due to spinal problems and was afraid I wouldn't get to do a project with them but I found a way to do the project without the need for paints etc and could just use a little table on my bed. This is the result and I am very happy with this journal page using the fabulous Lost coast stamp 'Art Deco face'.

The products used
Lost coast stamp
White tissue paper  (I recycled )
White pen (from my stash )
Scraps of recycled wallpaper and scrap paper
die cut steampunk gears (from my stash )

I began by stamping the gorgeous image on to white tissue paper and I have to say it stamped perfectly first time.

Next I needed to colour the journal page. I used inks this time and pens rather than paint but either would work.

The next step was a to place something to fill a little space at the top as I wanted to place the image further down. I used recycled papers and layered up and distressed and glued down with tacky glue.

Next  wrote some text  to the rest of the page in white, I wanted this to show under the tissue image.

Now I was ready to place the Lost coast Stamped image I added glue stick to the surface of the page and NOT to the image as it was too delicate. After smoothing over and leaving to dry, I got some old gear die cuts I had in my stash and I painted them with copper and dark brown for rusty kind  of effect. I glued once more with tacky glue and left to dry. A fab and fun project thanks to Altered Pages and Lost Coast designs.
