Little wooden hanger

I loved creating this little hanging wooden shape. I used a couple of different techniques but it was very simple to do. Firstly I did think of covering the house in paint but I quite liked the look of the wood itself. So first of all I used some brown ink on a sponge around the edges of the house. I  had a scrap of lace for the bottom of this but decided to use it as a mask/stemcil instead of  as it was, I taped it to the wood and then sponged the brown ink over the lace for the effect you see on it. I think it turned out nice with a kind of distressed stenciled look.

I tied some plain twine in  a loop through the hole in the top of the house.  I then wanted to finish off the tag with something eye-catching so I  used a plain flower and inked it in light teal then covered it in holographic embossing powder for the sparkle although glitter would also work. I also embossed the brad with the brown ink and clear embossing powder. The orange spots were finally added using orange stickles for a fun look and dried. That was it, easy peasy.
